You could feel Springtime in the air on Saturday for the final of the Founders Cup. Our match was between the #3 seed Blake Edwards and #4 seed Chung Dang.
It was a super tight contest with nobody being more than 2 up. Blake got out to the early lead being 2up through 6 but Chung fought back and levelled the match on the 13th. Exceptional putting from Blake all day would ultimately prove the difference winning a nail biter 1up on the 18th! The mateship and camaraderie displayed between Blake and Chung during the match truly embodied the Green Acres spirit.
This is Blake’s first ever board event victory during his membership at Green Acres, just in time as he is moving up to QLD in the coming months. He commented how proud he was of finally getting his name up in silver on the honour boards.
