It was a month later than scheduled, but the 2025 Pairs Aggregate, the Fred Hopley Trophy, was completed on Saturday, 2nd of August. (The 1st round was rescheduled due to frost in June)
Our winners were 2 members of the men’s pennant team, Barnaby Greaves & Charlie Sartori. The Pairs Aggregate is a tough format with both players’ nett scores added together in both rounds. Barnaby & Charlie combined perfectly in the July round with a score of 138 nett, opening up a 2 shot lead. Saturday’s final round didn’t go totally to plan, but having the advantage of the great round 1 score, there proved to be enough winning by a single shot with a total of 290 nett from runners-up Max Chapman and John Dunne on 291 nett.
