Saturday, the 19th of July 2025, presented players with a difficult test with the strong cold winds, adding that together with a tricky format in Foursomes Handicap Matchplay, it was always going to be a tough day out on the course.
What a fitting day for the Men’s Foursomes Handicap Final, the ‘Michael Kelly Trophy’. Our finalists were Robbie Dicintio & Lachlan Cantwell vs Trevor Herbert & Francois Darcas.
It was a close contest early until Robbie & Lachlan won 4 holes in a row starting on the 8th to hold a strong lead 4up lead through 11 holes and that was enough to hold on and eventually win 3 & 1. Redemption for Robbie & Lachlan after losing in the final of last years Men’s Foursomes Handicap.
